Listening and suggesting settings

Making or reshaping sound with a trained model
Here the model is the sound engine. The DataMind Audio Combobulator passes any audio through neural networks trained on material from sound designers and producers while keeping the feel of your source. Neutone FX loads community models, such as one that turns incoming audio into djembe. Sonic Charge Synplant 2 works the other way round, because its Genopatch searches for synth settings that match a recording and leaves you with an ordinary synth patch to play. Singing from a voice model
Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro sings the notes and lyrics you enter with a voice model trained on recordings made for that purpose. Dreamtonics stresses that it is a vocal instrument with detailed control of pitch, timbre and phonemes, not a song generator.
Separating a finished mix
Acon Digital Remix splits a full mix into vocals, piano, bass, drums and other while it plays. Each stem has its own sensitivity setting, so you decide how much bleed between parts you can live with. Neutone FX also lists a stem separation model among its featured models.

What AI does not do
- It does not know what your song needs, because an assistant matches a target that you still choose.
- It does not turn a weak recording into a strong one, and separation works best on clean sources.
- It does not replace the final listen, since every suggestion is a guess about what you meant.
- It does not always work offline, so check which part of a plugin needs a connection.
